CHEC is an informal homeschool support group in the greater Camden, South
Carolina area. Our purpose is to provide local homeschooling families with
opportunities to support one another with prayer and friendship in the day-to-day
challenges of homeschooling through our meetings and activities.
CHEC is not a third-option accountability association. You can find accountability
associations and a copy of the homeschooling laws on the SCHEA website (see links page).
CHEC’s original and continuing vision is to offer mentorship and discipleship through
Christ-centered homeschool support. CHEC has a statement of faith (SOF) and
guidelines for behavior that we require for membership.
In keeping with this SOF, everything we offer as a function of CHEC to our members
is approached from a biblical viewpoint -- student co-ops, group events, special
speakers, etc. Often, our small group discussions center around biblical answers for
the issues we face as moms, wives and homeschooling parents. If this is the kind of
